The line-up for this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event final table has been decided at the Rio in Las Vegas. The nine players who have successfully made it through eight days of competition will come back to the Rio for the final table on the 7th – 10th November.
The nine players, with their seats and chip counts are:
Seat 1: Darvin Moon – 58,930,000 chips
Seat 2: James Akenhead – 6,800,000 chips
Seat 3: Phil Ivey – 9,765,000 chips
Seat 4: Kevin Schaffel – 12,390,000 chips
Seat 5: Steven Begleiter – 29,885,000 chips
Seat 6: Eric Buchman – 34,800,000 chips
Seat 7: Joseph Cada – 13,215,000 chips
Seat 8: Antoine Saout – 9,500,000 chips
Seat 9: Jeff Shulman – 19,580,000 chips
As you can see Darvin Moon has the chip lead with more than a 24 million chip advantage over the second placed Eric Buchman.
The most famous name of the nine remaining players has to be Phil Ivey. He already has seven WSOP gold bracelets to his name and is in contention for his eighth despite being in eighth place at this stage.
All of the nine remaining players are now guaranteed prize money of over 1 million dollars. Here is a list of the payouts the final table players will receive:

Defending champion Peter Eastgate of Denmark failed to make it to the eighth day of the competition, an indication of just how competitive the World Series of Poker is.
On the final day of play before the WSOP Main Event returns in November there were three notable eliminations. Antonio Esfandiari was eliminated into 24th place and picked up $352,832 in the process. Andrew Lichtenberger fell in 18th place and was rewarded with $500,557. Whereas Ludovic Lacay was eliminated in 16th place and he also picked up $500,557.
Boookmakers are taking bets on what will be the winning hand of the WSOP Main Event. The favourite is a 2 Pair with odds of 8/5* with Sportingbet. For the winning hand to be a 1 Pair you will get odds of 2/1* with Bet365. Sportingbet are also offering odds of 19/4* on the winning hand being a Straight or a Flush. A Straight on its own is 10/1* with Bet365 and a Flush is 12/1* both with Bet365. The odds on a Full House clinching the title is 20/1* also with Bet365.
